Photographer accused of sexual assault

Authorities recently charged Michael Dee Carter, 38, with sexual performance by a child and improper photography or visual recording.
According to reports, the child's parent filed a complaint with police upon receiving word of the alleged act.
"A man suspected his daughter may have been sexually assaulted during a photo shoot," said Vance Mitchell, public information officer for the Pasadena Police Department.
Investigators immediately launched an investigation into the allegations.
The following day, they paid the suspect a visit at his business, MPP Photography on 406 W. Houston, where he took photos of young girls.

"He (supposedly) was filming the girls getting dressed," said Mitchell.
They also found a large number of digital images of many young girls in provocative poses.
Carter was placed under arrest.
The district attorney's office accepted the charges, both felonies, levied against him.
He is held on a total bond of $30,000 in the Harris County 339th District Court.
Based on the evidence located in the suspect's studio, investigators allege there are other victims.
Authorities are asking for the public's assistance in regards to the case.
"We are looking for any help we can get in identifying additional victims," said Mitchell.
